The Membership voted at the March 18th Union Meeting to move the May Union Meeting from May 20th (the third Thursday of the month) to one week earlier on May 13th. This was due to the projected absence of three key Union Officers (two of which being your Recording Secretary and Treasurer who are vital to conduct monthly membership meetings). These officers will be attending the IAM Southern States Conference in Mississippi that week.
After discussing the pros and cons of meeting on the preceding Thursday (May 13th) or following Thursday (27th), it seemed to be the consensus that Thursday, May 13th would be the best option in case Members would be taking off on Friday, May 28th to extend their 3-day holiday weekend (Memorial Day). A motion was made, seconded, and then approved to move the May meeting date to Thursday, May 13th. Time and location will remain the same (4:30pm Jacksonville VFW) unless otherwise communicated prior to the meeting.
