Brothers and Sisters from the Local Lodge volunteered on Saturday preparing, prepping and serving meals to residents of the Ronald McDonald House in Little Rock, Arkansas. Thanks to those members who gave up time on their Saturday afternoon to show love and kindness to others. Special thanks to Sister Julie Snyder for arranging this community service activity.

The 2024 IAM Scholarship Competition will open on October 1, 2023, accepting applications and allowing entrants to apply online. The competition is open to members of the IAM and their children throughout the United States and Canada. ![]()

Out of 300 applicants in 2023, the IAM awarded 16 scholarships valued at $64,000 to members and their children. The IAM also has a vocational-technical two-year scholarship for members and their children.![]()

The IAM Scholarship Fund, used exclusively to make these awards possible, was established by the 1960 IAM Grand Lodge Convention delegates.![]()

Sister Martha Wheeler was celebrated today in the JMATS building for her 37 years with the ATS & JMATS programs. Over the years she has worked for several different contractors, served the Union on contract negotiation teams, as an Auditor, and other committees. We wish her well in her retirement.
Congratulations to Benjamin Dickson, son of Sister Susan Dickson, who was chosen as the recipient of this year’s Local Lodge Scholarship. Lodge President Chris Carr presented Benjamin, accompanied by his mother, with the $1500 award check this afternoon at the Center of Excellence.
Officers of the Local Lodge were sworn into their office at the Lodge meeting on January 19th. These officers will serve a term of 3 years.
