At the October Local Lodge meeting, Members nominated individuals to serve as officers for the 2023-2025 term. Many offices had only one individual nominated, and thus that individual was elected by acclamation by those Members present at the meeting. The nominated (and elected) officers are as follows:
President: Chris Carr (Elected by Acclamation)
Vice President: Lester Cossey (Elected by Acclamation)
Recording Secretary: Sharon Smith (Elected by Acclamation)
Secretary Treasurer: BoniJo Boser (Elected by Acclamation)
Trustees: Patty Erickson, Terri Erickson, Layne Johnston (All Elected by Acclamation)
Auditors: Greg Edelstein, Cyndee Moody, Dan Peterson (All Eelected by Acclamation)
Conductor Sentinel: Ronnie Hinley (Elected by Acclamation)
The following individuals were nominated for the Steward Positions for their respective companies and were elected by acclamation:
CAE Maintenance Contract: Mike Hufstedler, Mark Oliver (Chief Steward)
DRG: John “Shaggy” Metcalf
Lockheed Martin: John Bennett
NovaTech Training Coordinators: Shannon Hanks
The following individuals were nominated for the Steward Positions for their respective companies. An election will be held on Friday, December 2nd. Only Members of those respective contracts will vote on the Stewards. There will be no need for Local Lodge Members on the Lockheed Martin, DRG, CAE Maintenance and NovaTech Training Coordinators to participate in the vote. More details regarding voting times and location will be arranged and announced closer to time.
CAE Instructor and Support Staff Contract (5 Stewards with 1 Alternate): Scott Bowen, Scott Cromer, Erik Pogue, Gary Snyder, Neil Truscello, Terry Williamson. An election will be held with only Members of the CAE Instructor and Support Staff contract voting. Members of that contract will cast a vote for 5 individuals. The 5 nominees that receive the most votes will be Stewards, the nominee receiving the least amount of votes will become the Alternate Steward, who will only be promoted to Steward status in the instance of one of the other five Stewards resigning. The nominee receiving the most votes will have the right of first refusal to be the Chief Steward. (Right of first refusal means the position of Chief Steward is offered to them first. They have the right to pass on the position. It is next offered to the nominee receiving the next highest number of votes.) The Chief Steward serves on the E-Board and coordinates all grievances and meetings with Management.
Kay & Associates (2 Stewards with 1 Alternate): Brad Cantler, Brian Hunter, Aaron Mitchell, Seneca Williams An election will be held with only Members of the Kay & Associates contract voting. Members of that contract will cast a vote for 2 individuals. The 2 nominees that receive the most votes will be Stewards, the nominee receiving the third most votes will become the Alternate Steward, who will only be promoted to Steward status in the instance of one of the other two Stewards resigning. The nominee receiving the most votes will have the right of first refusal to be the Chief Steward. (Right of first refusal means the position of Chief Steward is offered to them first. Members of that contract will cast a vote for the one nominee they would like to serve as Chief Steward. The nominee receiving the most votes will have the right of first refusal to be the Chief Steward. (Right of first refusal means the position of Chief Steward is offered to them first. They have the right to pass on the position. It is next offered to the nominee receiving the next highest number of votes.)
